Overview: We are seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations within our chemical manufacturing facility. This role requires a strategic thinker who can optimize equipment performance, lead a skilled team, and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement long-term maintenance strategies and annual maintenance plans to ensure the reliability and optimal performance of equipment and facilities. Utilize CMMS for scheduling, tracking, and reporting maintenance activities.
- Responsible for meeting/exceeding established housekeeping standards and increasing 5S maturity in areas of ownership.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of maintenance technicians and engineers. Provide guidance, set clear performance goals, conduct regular training, and evaluate team performance to enhance skillsets and productivity.
- Design and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs using CMMS to minimize unplanned downtime, improve equipment life, and reduce maintenance costs.
- Oversee the rapid diagnosis and resolution of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues. Ensure that repairs are carried out efficiently and effectively, minimizing impact on production schedules.
- Responsible for ensuring safe work practices of FFEM maintenance personnel and third-party services providers (contractors) providing maintenance support.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, maintenance logs, and equipment performance metrics. Prepare and present detailed reports to senior management on maintenance performance, costs, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Responsible for the 24/7 operation of central facilities utility systems, including instrument air, primary and secondary chilled water, natural gas, HVAC, electrical distribution and lighting, potable water, de-ionized water, steam generation, industrial waste treatment, permitted scrubber systems, boilers, chilled water, and site security systems (fire, access control).
