Job Overview

Texas Iberico is looking for a high-energy, motivated Outside Sales Representative to promote our brand and supply premium pork products to businesses and distributor partners. The successful candidate will effectively communicate Texas Iberico’s unique strengths and differentiate our products in the industry. This role involves establishing and maintaining new customer relationships over the long term.


Responsibilities

(Note: Responsibilities may be added or adjusted over time)

  • Execute rapid growth by opening new accounts and building lasting partnerships that elevate Texas Iberico's presence and impact.
  • Perform the full sales cycle from generating leads and prospecting to closing and implementing the sale.
  • Take ownership of and communicate regular updates on plans and forecasts within assigned accounts.
  • Exceed customer expectations, provide exemplary service, and maintain healthy customer relationships in a team-based environment.
  • Identify opportunities to build strong connections with key individuals and form meaningful relationships that benefit the Texas Iberico brand.
  • Cultivate a passion for self-directed education on all things Texas Iberico, with support from marketing, operations, and the CEO.
  • Conduct effective sales meetings with customers and distributor partners that engage, educate, and inspire.
  • Participate in industry events as needed, including demos, farmers markets, and pop-ups that may occur outside of normal working hours.
  • Thrive within a dynamic, evolving brand and company environment.
  • Assist with deliveries and troubleshoot any issues during the order process.
  • Understand market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales.
  • Collaborate with marketing to create and distribute engaging educational materials for buyers, distributors, and retail teams.


Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • While not required, having the ability to serve as a social media spokesperson or to speak and present at public events would be a significant plus. If you have experience in these areas or a willingness to develop these skills, we encourage you to highlight this in your application.
  • Bilingual a plus. 


Essential Qualifications

  • Team player with a commitment to Texas Iberico’s mission and values.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or extensive experience in the food industry, hospitality, or supply chain.
  • Passion for gourmet food, particularly high-quality, artisanal products.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, highly adaptable and resourceful.
  • Go-getter mentality with a strong drive to achieve results.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.).
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and their business applications.
  • Ability to excel in a hands-on, fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
  • Success in managing multiple priorities, extended work schedules, and demanding deadlines.
  • Proactive in identifying opportunities to add value in a startup environment.

Salary: up to $40k - $60k plus commission
