JGB is a growing Westport, CT based credit-oriented hedge fund. JGB is looking to hire an analyst to join our investment team for our Westport office.
Qualifications:
- Ability to dial/email a large number of intermediaries, make them like you, and have them show you their deals.
- Strong entrepreneurial ethos.
- Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or higher.
- 2+ years' experience in finance or a related field, though not necessarily as an investment analyst.
- A willingness and desire to learn new things and work in an interesting and dynamic investing environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, willingness to network in order to identify new investment opportunities.
Responsibilities
Your job will primarily be to work on various aspects of privately negotiated credit investments with private or public companies. Chief among these is sourcing investment opportunities, but you will also negotiate investments, assist in the diligence and monitoring of investments, and participate in all other stages in the investment process.
You will be a part of a team of experienced investment professionals and receive on the job training as necessary.
Compensation is heavily performance-based.
Job Type: Full-time.
