Purification Technician

This is a 6-month contract with the opportunity to extend longer /convert to FTE based on performance/budget.

Schedule: Monday-Fri/ 40 hrs a week/ rotational 8 hr and 12 hr shifts. Will not exceed 40 hrs, but will get OT over the 40 hrs. This position will be ONSITE in a brand-new Manufacturing site that opened in Hopewell, NJ

We are seeking a Purification Manufacturing Technician to join our team in Hopewell, New Jersey. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in the initial start-up and ongoing operations. This position involves both supporting the facility start-up and executing hands-on cGMP manufacturing operations.

• Design review
• Equipment selection, procurement and testing
• Protocol development and execution
• Acceptance testing and equipment/automation debugging
• Technical training
• Hands-On cGMP Operations: Focused on execution of cGMP manufacturing activities required to deliver the production plan reliably and compliantly
• Follow cGMP procedures to support manufacturing execution and automated recipes
• Clean-In-Place (CIP) & Steam-In-Place (SIP)
• Buffer preparation & transfers / filtration
• Operational and cleaning of chromatography and filtration systems
• Equipment & process troubleshooting
• Deviation identification, reporting and closure
• cGMP procedure development and optimization

Requirements:

• AS/BS/BA in science related field, biopharmaceutical or equivalent technical experience preferred
• Experience with design review processes
• Proficiency in cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) procedures
• Experience with Clean-In-Place (CIP) and Steam-In-Place (SIP) systems
• Ability to safely handle hazardous materials
