A leading transportation and logistics organization is expanding its operations and seeking an experienced Fleet Safety Manager to strengthen compliance programs and drive a culture of safety and operational excellence. Position OverviewThe Fleet Safety Manager will oversee all DOT and FMCSA compliance initiatives, ensuring that fleet operations meet and exceed federal, state, and internal safety standards. This leader will develop training programs, monitor compliance data, and serve as a key liaison between operations and senior leadership. Key ResponsibilitiesLead and maintain DOT/FMCSA compliance programs, including DQ files, hours of service (HOS), electronic logging devices (ELDs), vehicle inspections, and IFTA/IRP documentationConduct safety audits and support regulatory inspectionsInvestigate compliance or incident issues and drive corrective action plansUpdate policies and procedures to reflect regulatory changesDevelop and deliver driver and staff training focused on safety awareness and accountabilityTrack and present compliance metrics, trends, and improvement opportunities to leadershipQualifications7+ years of experience in transportation safety, fleet compliance, or risk managementIn-depth knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulationsProven ability to lead teams, implement compliance systems, and foster safety-first cultureBachelor's degree preferred; professional certifications (CCEP, CRCM, or equivalent) a plusBilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferredIf you have a strong background in fleet safety or DOT compliance and are ready to take the next step in your career, I'd love to connect.
