We manage luxury custom homes starting at two million dollars and are searching for a Director of Operations who can strengthen our systems, streamline our processes, and support our team in delivering exceptional results.Position SummaryThe Director of Operations is a senior leadership role that drives operational excellence across the company. This position oversees project workflows, construction operations, preconstruction coordination, client communication structure, vendor and trade relationships, and internal process development. The ideal candidate has deep residential construction experience, strong operational ability, and a passion for well organized and predictable execution.Key ResponsibilitiesProject OperationsOversee day to day construction operations, project schedules, and critical path itemsSupport project managers and field staff with resource planning, issue resolution, and quality controlEnsure consistent use of internal systems such as schedule management, selections tracking, budgeting tools, and communication platformsPreconstruction LeadershipCoordinate architectural plans, engineering, design documents, and specifications to prepare accurate scopes of workImprove pricing workflows and ensure trade partners receive complete and clear bid packagesWork closely with the owner to refine preconstruction processes and deliver high quality proposalsTeam ManagementLead, mentor, and hold accountable a growing team of construction professionalsCreate and maintain standard operating procedures to improve clarity and consistencyIdentify staffing needs, support recruiting, and develop internal trainingVendor and Trade ManagementStrengthen relationships with subcontractors and suppliersOversee trade onboarding, insurance compliance, safety expectations, and performance reviewsEnsure accurate scopes, clean work sites, and consistent qualityClient ExperienceEnsure clients receive clear communication, proactive updates, and an organized journey from design through completionAssist with solving escalations and maintaining a positive client relationshipProcess ImprovementAnalyze current systems and implement better tools, workflows, and reporting methodsImprove budget tracking, schedule accuracy, and overall project predictabilitySupport company growth by building scalable processesQualificationsMinimum of 7 years experience in residential construction with proven operational responsibilityExperience building luxury custom homes is requiredStrong understanding of custom homebuilding workflow including preconstruction, scheduling, budgeting, and field operationsExperience with Buildertrend, Adaptive, Bluebeam, and ProcoreDegree in engineering, construction science, or architecture is preferredProven ability to lead teams, manage multiple projects, and improve operational systemsExcellent communication, organization, and attention to detailAbility to work on site in the Fort Worth areaCompensationCompetitive salary based on experiencePerformance based bonusesCompany provided branded Ford RaptorCompany provided health and dental insurancePaid time offCompany provided technology and resourcesCareer growth within a fast growing custom homebuilding company
