ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF A MAC ESTIMATOR
Bidding Process Management
- Manage Entire Bidding Process: Oversee the process from Request for Proposal (RFP) intake and review through to project award and handoff to Project Management for execution in the field.
- Project Setup in Procore: Set up projects in Procore, ensuring all necessary information and documentation is included.
- Build Estimate Framework/Worksheets: Develop and maintain estimation frameworks and worksheets for accurate bid preparation.
- Distribute Bid Packages: Distribute bid packages and documents to subcontractors and vendors.
- Manage Bid RFI Process: Handle Requests for Information (RFIs) during the bidding process to clarify project details.
Estimation and Proposal Preparation
- Assemble and Qualify Bids: Collect and qualify bids from subcontractors and vendors, ensuring they meet project requirements.
- Prepare Proposals: Create detailed proposals for owner review, incorporating all relevant project specifics and bid information.
- Provide Detailed Estimates: Deliver accurate estimates that reflect a deep understanding of the construction process and project-specific constraints.
Scheduling and Cost Parameters
- Provide Schedule Parameters: Establish schedule parameters for stakeholders, setting clear expectations for project durations and site operational costs.
- Historical Pricing Utilization: Maintain and utilize historical pricing information for comparison to active bids and conceptual estimating ahead of formal bid documents.
Communication and Support
- Effective Communication: Ensure complete, accurate, and competitive bids are communicated effectively to the Project Management team.
- Support Project Management: Provide a solid foundation for the Project Management team by setting clear and precise estimates and project expectations.

- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
- Proactivity and Self-Motivation: Proactive and self-motivated individuals who can identify and address tasks independently.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in construction software such as Procore or equivalent, Bluebeam, and general productivity software such as Microsoft Office is required.
Education and Experience
- Educational Background:
- High School Degree or Equivalency
- Associates/College level coursework in Construction Management or a related field preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial construction estimating role
Compliance

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary offer will depend on experience and other relevant factors. This role is eligible for project bonuses as well as an annual incentive plan.
In addition to the above compensation, as a member of the MAC team, you are eligible for the following benefits:
