Job Description:

This role supports the Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) needs of a Technical Operations site in Hillsboro, Oregon, focused on drug product manufacturing, including Component Preparation, Compounding, Filling (Liquid/Lyophilized), Inspection, Packaging, and Distribution. The position involves MES recipe authoring and software development to ensure smooth operations and integration with business systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Author and develop MES recipes using systems such as Syncade and PharmaSuite.
  • Troubleshoot MES execution issues on the plant floor and ensure seamless business system integration.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and site business processes, valid design principles, and quality procedures.
  • Develop, review, approve, and execute qualification test plans.
  • Implement production tech transfer requirements into automation IT systems.
  • Contribute to solutions for reporting, production analysis, recipe enhancements, batch review/release, and equipment automation integration.
  • Support the development and optimization of departmental and site business processes.
  • Participate in the development of MES standards and best practices for the supply chain network.
  • Provide consulting services to Business Process owners within various value streams.
  • Offer expertise in MES recipe authoring for various projects, process improvement initiatives, and support.


Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience with MES in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Project management skills with the ability to multi-task and handle routine and unexpected assignments independently.
  • Experience in planning and performing testing, including documenting test conditions, expected results, and validation.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality results that meet or exceed business requirements.
  • Ability to work independently with Engineering teams and value streams.
  • Experience collaborating with global teams on common MES templates.
  • Availability for after-hours on-call support one week per month.
  • This role requires on-site presence in Hillsboro, Oregon.
