Project Manager for the Grading & Excavation Division of SLS Services. Responsible for the scheduling, coordination, and management of 12 crews specializing in grading, excavation, ditching & utilities installation for Residential contractors throughout Middle Tennessee. Manages the day-to-day activities of the crew; communicates with clients' representatives; ensures the highest levels of customer service and quality control; utilizes internal project management software to estimate, produce work orders, and submit pay applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with clients' representatives to accurately schedule work and ensure timely, quality execution
  • Utilizes project management software inherent to the day-to-day operations of the division
  • Creates daily work orders, assigns crews, tracks progress
  • Reviews and approves completed work orders
  • Reviews and approves daily time and other job related costs
  • Coordinates with other division project managers to enable efficient operations across the company

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred but not required
  • 3-5 years of project management experience
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good problem-solving and time-management skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of purchase orders and general job costing
  • Aspire Software or similar work order / task management software
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
