Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Heating Air Conditioning Technician (Commercial Freezers) at Yummy Acai LLC in Elizabeth, NJ. The Technician will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of commercial freezers, including troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and plumbing. The Technician will also need to have knowledge of EPA regulations and electricity.
- Provide accurate diagnosis for reactive service calls and make repairs as indicated by work order or emergency call.
- Ensuring equipment is operating properly before leaving our premises
- Ability to identify and repair refrigerant leaks
- Ability to replace the mechanical and electrical components in the systems (Compressor, Expansion Valve, Blower motor, board, contactor and etc.)
- Demonstrate an understanding and adhere to all work safety policies and procedures.
- Build relationships with employees by providing excellent service and support on the team.
- Utilize your strong skills and experience to troubleshoot, repair and maintain commercial refrigeration equipment such as walk -in coolers/freezers, racks, evaporators, condensers, cases, ice machines, etc.
- Complete electronic/ paper work orders
- Be available to work on a basis, to service the emergency needs of our company
- Maintain proper stock, parts, tools and safety equipment in work vehicles.
- Identify and report potential opportunities for additional business (New Units/ Systems, PM contracts and additional services.
- Leave the facilities premises clean, ensuring any messes have been cleaned prior to closing out service call or programmed maintenance

Qualifications
- Troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills
- Plumbing skills
- Knowledge of EPA regulations
- Knowledge of electricity
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Experience in HVAC or refrigeration is a plus
- Relevant certifications or licenses
- EPA type 1 or universal CFC certification Required
- Minimum 5 to 7 years’ experience on commercial system HVACR.
