Pride Health is seeking candidates as Direct Hire - Cytotechnologist Supervisor in Elmhurst, IL

Shift: Day Shift: 7 am-3:30 pm (5 days/week) or 7 am-5:30 pm (4 days/week)

Compensation: Hourly Pay Range: $32.00 - $48.00

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.

Job Description:

• We are seeking a qualified Cytotechnologist Supervisor to lead our laboratory team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for the evaluation and reporting of negative gynecological cases, as well as the evaluation and interpretation of abnormal gynecological, non-gynecological, and fine needle aspiration (FNA) cases.

Key responsibilities:

• Identifying diagnostic material and appropriately referring cases to pathologists
• Serving as a member of the FNA team, providing on-site adequacy evaluation of FNA procedures
• Providing technical advice and performing cytopreparation and processing as needed
• Maintaining records of screening slide counts and other activities
• Quality Control records were indicated.
• Assisting in gathering data relevant to quality assurance activities, continuous improvement activities, and/or other special projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Cytotechnology, Biology, or Life Sciences
• Successful completion of a 12-month CAAHEP-accredited Cytotechnology program
• CT (ASCP) certification is required.
• Recent hospital-based experience preferred.
• Covid Vaccine Requirement: Not required.
