Technical Data Governance Analyst

Remote or Hybrid in Cleveland, OH

6-12 Month Contract to Hire

As a Technical Data Governance Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective implementation and maintenance of technical data governance policies, standards, and workflows within our organization. Your primary focus will be on guaranteeing compliance with relevant regulations and standards across our IT systems and data platforms. You will conduct data integrity checks, resolve data issues, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our data governance framework's technical aspects.


Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain technical data governance policies, standards, and workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards across the organization's IT systems and data platforms.
  • Conduct data integrity checks and resolve data issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enforce data policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the design and maintenance of data architecture to support effective data governance.
  • Utilize data governance tools such as Collibra, Informatica, or other similar platforms to manage data governance processes effectively.
  • Provide support and guidance to business units on data governance best practices.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of data governance training programs for staff members.
  • Participate in audits and assessments to evaluate data governance compliance and identify areas for improvement.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working with data governance tools such as Collibra, Informatica, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience with data architecture and data management practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
