Job Title: Civil Project Manager

Location: Denton (on-site only)

Pay: $110K



The Civil Project Manager will be responsible for the comprehensive management and successful completion of assigned projects in the Municipality market. This role demands a proactive approach to anticipating issues during the design process, offering solutions, and ensuring client satisfaction. The successful candidate will ensure that projects are functional, aesthetically pleasing, adhere to codes, and are completed on time and within budget.


Responsibilities:


  • Work closely with sub-consultants, and internal Architectural, and Engineering staff to review resource and milestone requirements.
  • Participate in fee proposals, negotiations, and preparation of contractual agreements with the Managing Director and Principal.
  • Create and manage Project Schedules for the complete execution and closeout of projects within their profit center.
  • Ensure compliance with code checks, zoning, and all applicable laws and regulations, coordinating with regulatory officials.
  • Maintain high standards of QA/QC throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Obtain timely approvals and decisions from clients to ensure smooth project progression and alert the Managing Director of any scope changes or information gaps affecting the schedule or budget.
  • Maintain client contact to discuss ongoing projects, evaluate firm performance, and explore new business opportunities.
  • Develop and manage project tasks to meet scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Manage the creation of Permit and Construction Documents and related deliverables.
  • Oversee monthly invoicing and assist in the collection of accounts receivable.
  • Lead proposal development and project execution planning.
  • Ensure accurate fee calculations and scope alignment with client expectations.
  • Represent the firm at industry events and maintain a positive industry image.
  • Develop and foster relationships with current and potential clients, engaging in cross-selling activities.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering their technical and professional development.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for project coordinators and interns, and assist in hiring and termination decisions.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years experience as a Project Manager in the civil engineering municipality and commercial construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, regulatory compliance, and QA/QC processes.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software, such as AJERA.
