Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our client's team in Phoenix, AZ. This role requires the candidate to work on-site for three days a week, with no remote work option available. The successful candidate will be involved in developing and maintaining applications for a leading client in the banking sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and deploy high-quality Java applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Java Developer.
  • Strong understanding of Java, Spring Framework, and related technologies.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming and design patterns.
  • Experience with databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and writing complex SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the banking or financial sector.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
  • Understanding of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
