Lumber Plus is a progressive new lumberyard in need of new sales representatives. Our rapid and robust growth requires additional personnel to bolster our operations on the ground.


We are currently seeking an outside/inside sales representative with experience near Boston or Sagamore Beach area, to join our growing sales team.


Responsibilities:

  • Daily travel in assigned territory to commercial and/or residential job sites; the job requires you to get in and out of your vehicle at a high frequency; the job requires you to navigate job sites with potentially uneven terrain
  • Represent Lumber Plus professionally with customers and prospects in your specified territory and specific account assignments
  • Primary owner of customer relationship with day-to-day customer relations
  • Regular frequency of quality sales calls to customers and prospects
  • Introduce new products and make joint sales calls with vendor representatives
  • Assist the sales team as necessary and develop a strong and positive working relationship with the team
  • Develop new business; identify prospective customers by utilizing market intelligence databases, as well as business directories, following leads from existing customers
  • Use the HubSpot CRM system as a sales tool to record activities and facilitate transactional follow-up in compliance with company guidelines
  • Demonstrate a competent understanding of spec sheets, and submittal requirements for your customers on their key job sites


Requirements/Skills:

  • Demonstrate a strong ability to work in a fast pace, high-pressure environment.
  • Prior building materials sales experience a PLUS
  • Must be goal-oriented, have personal integrity, and have a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Responsible for selling and maintaining current sales and promotions policies, policies regarding payment, exchanges, and security practices.
  • Maintain records related to sales.
  • Answers incoming calls for the department.
  • Must be organized with good time management skills.
  • Possess strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Maintains excellent regular attendance, and punctuality at work to ensure a high-quality and timely response for customers.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goals.
  • Must be able to bend and lift 50lbs
  • Must be able to sit and work in front of a computer for an extended period of time
  • Must have a valid driver’s license; driver background check must show a record of sustained safe driving.


Education/Experience:

  • 2+ years experience in building material sales.
  • Experience in the lumber industry is a PLUS.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or be authorized to work in the U.S
