Part-time Jr. Prepress Production

Do you have a meticulous eye and a passion for ensuring top-notch print quality? We're seeking a detail-oriented Prepress Production Artist to join our client's team and play a vital role in bringing creative visions to life.


In this position, you'll be responsible for preparing graphic design materials for various print projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards for printing. You'll work collaboratively with designers, printers, and clients throughout the process.


Here's what a typical day might look like:


  • Collaborate with designers, sales representatives, and clients to understand project requirements and specifications.
  • Prepare and edit artwork for print production, including resizing images, adjusting layouts, and correcting any errors.
  • Ensure all fonts, graphics, and colors are set up correctly for printing.
  • Perform prepress checks to identify potential printing issues and troubleshoot accordingly.
  • Create high-quality digital proofs for client approval and incorporate necessary revisions.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of printing processes, press limitations, and file formats.
  • Archive and organize final artwork for future reference.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest prepress software and printing technologies.


Requirements:


  • 1+ years of experience in prepress production
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is a must
  • Excellent understanding of printing processes (CMYK, bleeds, trapping, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for visual accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with prepress software (optional, a plus)
