  • Data Integration: Collaborate with data engineers and architects to integrate data from various sources into a unified data model.
  • Documentation: Document data models, data flows, and design decisions to ensure clarity and facilitate knowledge sharing.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure data models meet quality standards and adhere to best practices in data modeling and database design.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, including business analysts, developers, and data scientists, to understand their data needs and provide solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data modeling and database technologies to continuously improve our data management processes.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) as a Data Modeler or in a similar role with a strong portfolio of data modeling projects.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in data modeling tools (e.g., ER/Studio, IBM InfoSphere Data Architect, Microsoft Visio) and database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL). A big plus if experienced with IDERA.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of database design principles, data warehousing concepts, and ETL processes.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
  • Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
