Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Palo Alto Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Palo Alto Networks security solutions to protect our clients’ networks and data. This role requires in-depth knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls and related technologies, along with a strong understanding of network security principles.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, configure, and deploy Palo Alto Networks firewalls and security solutions to meet clients’ security requirements.
• Manage and maintain existing Palo Alto Networks infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Monitor network traffic and security events to identify and respond to potential threats.
• Perform regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate risks.
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network and security issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support security initiatives and projects.
• Provide technical guidance and support to clients and internal teams regarding Palo Alto Networks products.
• Stay current with the latest developments in Palo Alto Networks technologies and cybersecurity trends.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience working with Palo Alto Networks firewalls and security solutions.
• Strong knowledge of network security principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including PAN-OS, security policies, NAT, VPN, and threat prevention.
• Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
• Familiarity with other network security technologies (e.g., IDS/IPS, DLP, endpoint protection).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer - PCNSE) are highly desirable.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible) for network security tasks.
• Knowledge of cloud security and experience with securing cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Understanding of compliance frameworks and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
