Our client is a cutting-edge pharmaceutical company dedicated to improving the lives of patients through innovative drug therapies. They are seeking a motivated Lab Technician/Assistant to join their dynamic research team on an initial 6-month contract.
Responsibilities:
As a Lab Technician/Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our research and development efforts. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Laboratory Support: Assist in the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, including preparing reagents, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
- Sample Analysis: Conduct analytical experiments, with a focus on High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) techniques, to analyze and characterize pharmaceutical compounds.
- Data Collection: Accurately record experimental data and maintain detailed laboratory notebooks to ensure data integrity and traceability.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including scientists and researchers, to support ongoing projects and experiments.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and address any technical issues that may arise during experiments, working towards efficient solutions.
- Adherence to Safety and Quality Standards: Follow all laboratory safety protocols and maintain high-quality standards in all laboratory work.
- Documentation: Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations summarizing experimental findings.
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant scientific degree program (e.g., Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or a related field).
- Preferably possess prior laboratory experience, with specific experience in High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and contribute to a dynamic research environment.
