Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Data Center Technician to join their team This position is onsite and located in St. Paul, Minnesota.


Duties:

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers and routers within the data center to ensure optimal performance and uptime
  • Run, terminate, and manage fiber optic and copper cables, ensuring all connections are secure and organized according to industry standards
  • Apply padding and protective measures to cable connections, maintaining a neat and safe cabling environment
  • Installation, support, and testing of data cables
  • Installation, upgrade, and support of hardware such as servers, network, and storage
  • Conduct regular audits and maintain accurate inventory records, tracking serial numbers, receiving equipment, and ensuring all assets are properly documented
  • Manage and respond to incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing change management procedures to minimize disruptions and improve system reliability


Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Technical support and troubleshooting
  • Incident and Change Management
  • Strong cabling history
  • Strong soft skills and attention to detail
  • Previously worked in a data center environment
