Occupational Therapist

MedAdventures is looking for a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to support one of our Skilled Nursing Facility partners in Allentown, PA 18104.


Details:

  • This is a 13 week contract assignment to start with a very high probability to extend and potentially convert full time.
  • Target pay rate of $50-55/HR W2 (1099/C2C Not Available)
  • Type of Need – Full time Occupational Therapist – Willing to accept part time if full time is not available
  • Schedule is M-F 8-5 (willing to be flexible with schedule)
  • Hours per day – 8hrs per day with 30 minutes unpaid break
  • Flexible Scheduling – Willing to accept early start time. to make it work with the candidates schedule
  • Average Daily Caseload – 10-12 patients depending on how many evaluations are needed
  • Supporting Therapists are available – 6 OTs, 6PTS, and COTAs
  • Caseload Summary – A lot of short term rehab, COPD, stroke, and long term residents


Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for Assessing the Occupational Therapy needs and providing treatment to the facility’s residents to help them improve their ability to enjoy daily life with increased independence
  • Use tried and tested therapies in combination with new, innovative techniques to provide the best care in a timely manner
  • Establish realistic, attainable short-term and long-term goals with each patient.
  • Document your therapy activities accurately, and in a timely manner, including initial evaluation, progress notes and discharge summaries.



Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program approved by AOTA required -Master’s Degree preferred.
  • PA- Pennsylvania Occupational Therapist License
  • Experience with skilled nursing/rehab facility preferred
  • Sound understanding of treating a variety of occupational therapy disorders with proven treatment methods
  • Passionate about working with seniors with short term and long term
