Plant Controller

A great UHY client is seeking a Plant Controller to join their team. The ideal candidate will have Plant Controllership experience in a manufacturing setting, strong cost and inventory accounting experience, and advanced Excel skills.

The Plant Controller role is an onsite position. This is a client direct hire position.

Plant Controller Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with team members to make operational decisions at the plant level.
• Develop and analyze financial reports to monitor profitability and performance.
• Prepare weekly flash reports, monthly forecasts, and annual profit plans. Monitor inventories and analyze variances.
• Manage accounting activities including billing, payroll, and compliance with SOX and corporate policies.
• Lead and manage the department, conducting training, development, and performance evaluations.
• Maintain financial records and assist in reporting to management.
• Manage internal and external audits, ensuring accuracy of financial analysis.
• Maintain standard costing and support corporate compliance with financial regulations.
• Oversee IT management and support operations to achieve production goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Plant Controller Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required; CPA/MBA preferred.
• 5 years of financial accounting experience in manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting systems; familiarity with ERP systems preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and knowledge of financial reporting principles.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Experience leading and motivating teams.
