Position purpose

The Mechanical Designer creates general arrangement drawings, mechanical fabrication drawings (piping ISO’s, vessel etc.) and documents for production.


Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

  • Review project requirements
  • Produce 3D drawings based on P&ID and specifications
  • Interact with sales and project engineering to resolve questions
  • Revise drawings to meet customer final requirements
  • Create BOM and do calculations to ensure accuracy
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent in drafting/design
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience
  • Strong knowledge of Autodesk Inventor
  • Ability to read drawings as well as P& ID
  • Knowledge of ASME (pressure vessel, piping etc.) code
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand specifications.
