A growing research site management organization is searching for a part-time Clinical Research Coordinator to work 20-25 hours per week, facilitating and executing research activities of new and ongoing clinical trials.


Summary:

The Clinical Research Coordinator, under general direction, conducts research activities for medical device clinical trials. Working with patients and physicians to conduct all aspects of trials in full compliance with regulations. This position will be on-site, serving 2 nearby locations in Tampa.


Responsibilities:

  • Recruits patients for research studies; explains study purposes, and obtains informed consent.
  • Provides patient education regarding research protocol.
  • Observes and collects required data for research procedures.
  • Maintains credentials at hospitals.
  • Coordinate orders for study patient pre-procedure and post-procedure required tests and assessments.
  • Performs patient assessments and data collection for clinical research.
  • Attends and participates in meetings related to new and current clinical trials.
  • Maintains inventory of investigational drugs and/or devices.
  • Responds to internal and/or external auditor and monitor requests.
  • Works with physicians in the clinical setting to recruit and enroll potential research patients with knowledge of protocol defined inclusion/exclusion criteria.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook internet based databases and electronic data capture systems.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate of Science preferably in health related field.
  • Previous clinical research experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organization skills, self-motivation, and teamwork oriented.
