Job Description: Ultrasound Technician

Position Type: Fulltime/ Perm-Position

Ultrasound Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6:45p-5:30a

Pay Range: $32-$40/ Per Hour. ( Pay is determined by level of experience ).

Must have at least 1 Year of Ultrasound Technician experience.

New Grads not accepted.

Candidates must live within 45 minutes of Shelby, NC. Or planning to relocate.


Certification/Licensure/Experience Requirements: RDMS, CPR Equipment: -Siemens S2000 and Siemens Sequoia – very easy equipment to adapt to, user friendly Incentives: -$15K Sign on and Relocation assistance available -Career Ladder – Ultrasound I, II, III (Tech 1 – RDMS, Tech 2 – Pass vascular boards (RVT), Tech 3 (RVT and must have passed 6 of 10 specialty exams) / 5% difference in pay per level -Shift differential offered for overnight and weekends Additional Job Details: -Tech will work with 6-12 patients a day (ER)


Duties/ Responsibilities:

Prioritizes and coordinates ultrasound exams with nursing units, radiologists, and referring physicians. Performs ultrasound exams in accordance to departmental protocols and standards. Provides adequate patient care as it relates to the exam requested. Operates ultrasound and associated equipment with proficiency. Essential Functions Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient Assists Radiologist in performance of invasive procedures Evaluates technician quality of exam and develops a superior varied technique for elevated efficiency in the department Supports and contributes to the Patient-Centered Care Philosophy by understanding that every staff member is a Caregiver, whose role is to meet the needs of each patient.

Skills:

Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (S) required. BLS HCP certification.

Education:

Graduate of a comprehensive medical diagnostic ultrasound program preferred.
