Duties:

  • Install, configure, support, monitor, test, optimize, and troubleshoot problems pertaining to deployment, integration, and implementation of AV hardware.
  • Follow processes and procedures from client and employer.
  • Communicate with client at peer technical levels.
  • Act as a technical lead for SMB-sized clients.
  • Provide peer support for AV Engineers.
  • Follow processes and procedures from client and employer.
  • Communicate project status and weekly activities to internal and external PMs.
  • Maintain and update project documentation and auditing for various clients.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor when dealing with clients.
  • Participate in project kick-off meeting and design discussions.
  • Communicate troubleshooting and incident reporting procedures to the technical team and monitor compliance.
  • Assist with ongoing development of team standards and processes. Participate in the delivery of projects on time and within budget.
  • Meet with AV Engineers to review the design and implementation plans for the client, ensure understanding of the business needs and how they map to the solution, and provide feedback to PM, PMO, and Senior Consultants based on actual field experience.
  • Track, manage, and secure all associated equipment on a job site.
  • Effectively communicate daily job site status to the project team.
  • Effectively communicate with employees, customers, and colleagues in a professional environment.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2-4 years of AV Installation or equivalent experience preferred. Proven work experience dealing with customer accounts

Certifications:

Extron Control Professional, Network AV Specialist, ProDSP Specialist, Audinate Dante Level III, AVIXA General CTS, or substantial equivalent knowledge or experience.

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of A/V products and solutions, ability to install them based on specific requirements.
  • Knowledge of Video Conferencing solutions (Cisco Webex, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, etc.) both hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of wiring configurations and/or signal flow for audio, video, control, and network.
  • Knowledge of IP networking.
  • Knowledge of Audio routing (Analog & Dante).
  • Programming capability (Extron) - install/configure, changes, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to Read, interpret, and modify AV schematics and architectural/construction drawings provided by Netsync Solutions Architect.
  • Ability to work and think independently while utilizing time management skills.
  • Ability to make device setting changes and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Ability to lift, bend, and crouch.
  • Ability to run various cabling.
  • Ability to cable dress and label AV cabling within a rack or rooms.
  • Ability to differentiate cable colors.
  • Ability to install various AV equipment in ceilings, walls, in other commercial environments.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ability to terminate various cables (CAT6, RS232, XLR, etc.).
  • Ability to terminate cables in various manners (solder, crimp connectors, captive screw, etc.).
  • Test and certify cabling for the functionality of systems.
