Pay: 27.50 per hour + health benefits
Location: Clarkson Valley, MO
We are seeking a skilled and driven Biologist with hands-on experience working with plants in controlled environments (greenhouse or growth chambers). The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Plant Biology, Horticulture, or a related field, with practical research experience.
This role involves regular crop cultivation, phenotyping, material sampling for lab assays, and assisting with hybrid seed production through plant pollination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grow, care and phenotype crops in a controlled environment in daily basis
- Conduct plant pollination for hybrid seed production following established Standard Operating
Procedures (SOPs) accurately and ensure compliance
- Sample plant materials for laboratory assays
- Assist on experimental design, data analysis, interpret experimental data and present findings effectively
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Plant Biology, Horticulture, or a related field
- Proven experience with plant research in controlled settings, including hybrid seed production
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Motivation to work independently and as part of a team to achieve results
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and basic statistical analysis
