Job Title: Business System Analyst

Location: Houston, TX (75% in office, 25% travel)

12 month contract

Willing to look at different salary bands for different experience levels - Range from $40/hour to $70/hour


We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Business System Analyst to join a growing team. If you are smart, driven, and possess excellent communication skills, this role offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and assist in the implementation, analysis, design, testing, and rollout of business systems, particularly focused on applications used by technical field operations teams.
  • Work closely with field operations personnel in industries such as Oil & Gas Production, ensuring systems meet maintenance and compliance needs, including federal reporting requirements for emissions, safety, production, and more.
  • Utilize SQL for systems testing, troubleshooting, and minor updates (expert-level SQL is not required but a good working knowledge is essential).
  • Collaborate with developers to fine-tune applications based on user feedback and field data, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Provide training and instruction to users, both technical and non-technical, helping them navigate and effectively use systems.
  • Manage travel and expense reports related to site visits and project work.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a well-regarded institution
  • Experience in a Business Systems Analyst or Solutions Engineer role.
  • Hands-on experience with systems implementations (design, test, and rollout).
  • Proficient in SQL, with the ability to support system testing and enhancements.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a high emotional intelligence (EQ) to work seamlessly with technical and field teams.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 25% for project work and system rollout support.
  • Environmental or Oil & Gas experience is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical solutions to a non-technical audience.
