Tax Attorney

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a highly regarded, full service law firm in beautiful Knoxville, Tennessee, to recruit an experienced Tax Associate Attorney.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in estate planning matters for high worth and ultra high net worth client, and/or experience with corporate tax. The firm will consider an experienced associate level attorney, or more experienced partner-level attorneys. A portable book of business is welcomed but not required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Drafting complex wills and trusts, including IDGTs, GRATs, and revocable trusts, and other estate planning instruments.
• Preparing and reviewing federal estate and gift tax returns
• Advising clients on the formation, operation and disposition of various closely held businesses
• Advising corporate clients on tax implications of various business structures and transactions, including tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions

Qualifications:

• JD from an accredited law school
• LL.M. in Taxation strongly preferred
• 3+ years of experience working as a tax attorney, preferably in a large law firm or sophisticated boutique firm setting
