Huggins Peil, LLC is based in Evans, Georgia, walking distance from the Columbia County courthouse. In addition to providing real estate closings to residents of the CSRA since 1981, the firm has an active litigation department that represents plaintiffs and defendants in the following areas: serious personal injuries, construction disputes, business and corporate law, probate disputes, and complex torts.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Evans, GA for an Associate Attorney at Huggins Peil, LLC. As an Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for working with the litigation department, and will provide legal support, research legal issues, draft legal documents, and represent clients in state and federal courts where you are licensed to practice. You will also assist with case management, document preparation, and client communication.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the State Bar Association of Georgia and/or the South Carolina State Bar
• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Experience in civil litigation, preferably in family law or personal injury
• Proficiency in legal research and case management software
• Ability to handle a high caseload and prioritize tasks
• Professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct
