Role: System Administrator

Job Type: Full time

Salary: $100k to $120k


Job Description:

1. Experience in OpenVMS administration in Cluster Environment and RDB Administration skills.

2. Knowledge in installing, configuring and maintaining OpenVMS servers, blade servers

3. Experience with Onboard Administrator, Virtual connect, ILO.

4. Experience with Control-M scheduler, Connect Direct, MQ and ABC backup tools

5. Hands on experience with 3rd party software upgrades and Installations.

6. Advance knowledge of patch and package administration, F/W upgrade, Upgrade of new Application release.

7. Expert level knowledge of volume shadowing and disk/device management.

8. Good hands-on experience in VMS Cluster configuration and management.

9. Expert level knowledge of Quorum and cluster voting management.

10. Knowledge of Sysgen , Autogen Monitor, Audit, Analyze, LANCP, SCACP etc. utilities.

11. Understanding of Logical and Symbols on cluster environment.

12. knowledge in queue management (Batch, Printer, server etc. queues).

13. Knowledge in DCL scripts

14. Knowledge of capacity planning and fine tune system for optimal performance.

15. Good understanding of SAN environment (EMC). Interacted with storage and backup team for Storage allocation and configuration.

16. Knowledge of TCPIP, DEC net configuration and Network changes.

17. Good understanding of crash dump analysis, Disaster Recovery & Business continuity plan.

18. Should be ready to work in 24X7 Shifts

19. Flexibility to work outside of Business Hours to support any critical issues

20. Knowledge on and ability to follow Incident, Request, Problem and Change Management Process.

21. Ability to work on multiple concurrent tasks with conflicting priorities.

22. Excellent analytical and organizational skills and the ability to work with multiple geographically dispersed teams.
