Job Title: Project Manager (SD-WAN)

Location: East Peoria Building AD desired, but can be remote.

Duration: 12 Months

Remote Possibility: Yes – some travel will be required at the project start ( in Peoria, IL), all week 3-4 weeks initially but once it gets going it can be full-time remote.

6-8 AM to 2:30-4:30 PM. Weeknight and weekend work will be required for implementation support

10+ years of experience required

will be managing the team for any escalation

needs to have larger projects experience

traditional waterfall methodology

if they have PMP that is great, not a hard requirement

He is open to remote, but if local then will be hybrid

Education:

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years’ experience

Master’s degree must have a 8+ year experience

Associates degree with a minimum of 12 years’ experience

Position’s Contributions to Work Group:

- This job opening is for a Project Manager for the SDWAN Gen 2 Program in the Network Services Division of IT.

- This person will manage all aspects of the project, including but not limited too; overall project plan, resource requirements, site deployment planning, and the project budget.

- The SDWAN Gen 2 project will be deploying new SDWAN hardware to all 400+ sites for over a 2 ½ year span.


Typical task breakdown:

- Create and manage all aspects of the Project Plan.

- Manage schedule and resources required for each deployment.

- Facilitate the creation of deployments plans for each site, including application testing and validation.

- Manage project escalations.

- Conduct weekly control meetings.

- Manage project budget


Interaction with team:

- Will interact with the Network services and site leadership team, as well as team members from network, accounting, purchasing, and the site support teams.

Candidate Requirements

Education & Experience Required:

- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years experience

- Masters degree must have a 8+ year experience

- Associates degree with a minimum of 12 years experience


Technical Skills

(Required)

- Proficient in MS project and traditional waterfall project management

- Proficient in MS Excel.

- Experience managing infrastructure related projects.

- Experience managing large programs or projects ($10M+)***


(Desired)

- 10+ years for managing large programs/projects ($10M+)

- Project management certification (PMP or equivalent)

- Prior experience deploying SDWAN (specifically Cisco or Silver Peak)


Soft Skills

(Required)

- Self-starter and ability to manage one’s own time.

- Ability to work with a diverse team and identify needed escalation to ensure success.

- Good communications skills

- Ability to identify risks and proactively mange them.


Disqualifiers/Red Flags:
