A high-end restaurant is seeking a Bilingual Japanese/English HR Manager for HQ office to join their team in Brea, CA. This position is responsible for maintaining human resource related records, ensuring the policies and regulations are being followed, and administration / coordination of human resource related programs. A bachelor’s degree, 3-5 years of Human Resources experience, and the ability to speak, read, and write Japanese are required. This is a full-time, in-person, position, with excellent benefits and 401k.


Bilingual Japanese/English HR Manager Duties:

-Coordinates Company’s 401k, and healthcare benefits including enrollments for new employees.

-Plans and coordinates company meetings and/or training events as needed.

-Reviews all HR related invoices and creates a payment request.

-Manages the talent acquisition process which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental manager to understand skills and competencies required.

-Arrange and coordinate business travel as needed, including flights, hotels, and rental cars.

-Stay up to date on federal and state laws regarding human resources and employment practices.

-Overseeing and coordinating the work content and workload of subordinates. Conducting all necessary communications with subordinates and supervisors.

-Develop and manage overall HR strategies, systems, statistics and procedures across the organization.

-Execute efficient business collaboration between group companies in Japan and the U.S.



Bilingual Japanese/English HR Manager Skills:

-Must have a bachelor’s degree

-Must have 3-5 years of Human Resources experience

-Must be able to speak, read, and write Japanese

-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

-Ability to understand figures and numbers such as they apply to spreadsheets and/or budgets
