The QA Specialist at HPS will work as part of our Quality Team, reporting to our Quality Manager, to help develop and maintain the Quality and Environmental Management System by assisting in the development of plans and procedures, and verifying that company and customer compliance standards are being met.


The Quality-EHS Engineer will also be responsible for:

  • Internal auditing of HPS system processes and products
  • Supplier auditing of manufacturing processes, quality/process controls, etc. Supplier auditing will require Quality Engineer to travel to supplier domestically and internationally.
  • Containing and investigating customer complaints
  • Designing and distributing corrective and preventative action plans
  • Managing the re-inspection of products
  • EHS reporting
  • Calibrating
  • All other tasks as assigned by the Quality Manager.

  • Very detail oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Inclined to strive for continuous improvement in their own work and the work of the Company, while understanding all aspects of Quality and EHS.
  • A problem solver who can think critically and communicate recommendations effectively to interested parties, including senior leadership.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of QC, QA or inspection experience.
  • Prior experience working with inspection tools and measuring equipment (rulers, calipers, etc.) required.
  • HS Diploma required; some college preferred.
  • ISO 9001 and 14001 experience, preferred.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt a plus.
  • Open to domestic and international travel when needed for supplier audits.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening, which includes a drug test and background check.
  • Ability to work first shift: 8:30am – 5:00pm EST Monday-Friday.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require sponsorship.
