Job Title: Sales Assistant
Location: In-office Chicago, IL
Overview:
Fenics Markets Xchange (“FMX”) combines BGC Partners’ market leading Fenics Rates and FX platforms with its new FMX Futures Xchange. FMX will now provide fully electronic trading in cash Treasuries, foreign exchange and interest rate futures
Fenics UST is FMX’s leading Rates platform and the crown jewel of the FMX franchise, providing one of the fastest and most reliable ultra-low-latency matching engines in the cash UST marketplace.
Fenics USTreasuries is looking for an experienced sales representative to focus coverage on Institutional Accounts in the Americas region. This individual is responsible for identifying and establishing relationships with prospective clients in this region who are active in Cash US Treasuries.
Responsibilities:
Fenics Markets Xchange (“FMX”) is looking for a sales assistant. A successful candidate will work well in a small, entrepreneurial team environment.
- Assist the sales team with day-to-day responsibilities, such as communication with customers and entering client data
- Spear-head bespoke projects in around account management
- Manage calendars and process expenses
- Facilitate daily morning sales calls, distribution and internal meetings
- Work with various internal groups and point persons
- Participate in the development of Fenics Markets Xchange’s (“FMX”) business prospects from current customers, referrals and networking
Qualifications:
- Ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of work experience in sales or finance. Recent graduates without practical industry experience will also be considered
- Ability to multi-task and adaptable to changing and dynamic situations
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and organization skills; candidates must be very detail oriented
- Independent thinker and self-starter with the motivation to learn about and excel in a dynamic industry
- Must be comfortable working both independently and in a team environment
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in an area such as finance, economics or business
