Senior Parts Manager

SUMMARY

Plan, manage and monitor activities of general parts operation concerned with parts planning and control, procurement, inventory management, order processing and RMA. Organize resources to meet targets of Fill Rate and Inventory DSO. Liaise with functional and operational area managers to ensure supply activities are integrated with other parts of the business. Lead and direct staff to ensure resources are used effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for determining the required quantity and availability of parts needed to meet the demand from the internal and external customers
  • Coordinate with the factory for any issues on parts to resolve it
  • Review inventory level and order performance to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing improvement
  • Monitor, adjust and keep inventory optimum by minimizing obsolescence and inconsistency
  • Work with the managers in Service, Systems and Product Management to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for customers
  • Coordinate with the managers for customer issues related to spare parts
  • Ensure order processing cycle for optimum conditions
  • Make sure that all return requests are properly processed
  • Recover full credit from the factory for its missing, wrong and/or defective shipments and warranty parts
  • Manage staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties
  • Accept other responsibilities as required or requested


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate Degree
  • Product Knowledge
  • 6-10 years parts operation management required with some experience at the manager level preferred.
  • Industry experience preferred.
  • Ability to use MS Office
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
