We are a 65+ year old, third generation food distributor in Hudson County, NJ seeking honest, loyal, reliable, hands-on leader.


The candidate must have warehouse management experience and ensure the optimal movement of product, while minimizing mispicks, product handling and downtime, along with the efficient use of space. Food warehouse experience helpful, but not necessary.


RESPONSIBLE FOR:


- Accurate selection of product

- Staging and shrink wrapping palletized product

- Product checking and placement/loading onto company trucks

- Training of new employees

- Enforcement of rules, policies and procedures

- General operation, overall safety, security and maintenance of warehouse facility

- Other duties as required


REQUIREMENTS:


- Ability to operate forklift/orderpicker and other material handling equipment a must

- Jockeying straight jobs in the yard/CDL B or A helpful, but not required

- Some paperwork involved

- Supervisory experience in a union environment helpful

- Flexible with work hours

- Able to engage in physical activity in cold temperatures

- Minimum 2 years warehouse management experience

- Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills

- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with attention to detail a must

- High school diploma required, bachelor's preferred
