Landscape Designer

Our client's Nursery & Garden Shop, Inc. is currently looking for a Landscape Designer or Landscape Architect to work with our design, sales, and construction team. This position works directly with clients, design build staff, and subcontractors to provide comprehensive landscape design, consultation, and installation services. Responsibilities include conducting site measurements & base map preparation, design & plan preparation, client presentations, sales & sales support, material selections, and construction observation and supervision.

The ideal candidate enjoys developing creative and high-quality design solutions to suit each client’s wishes. Attention to detail and excellent communication skills are of great importance. This individual must be able to handle multiple concurrent deadlines. A degree in Landscape Architecture or equivalent is strongly preferred.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, passionate about design, and proficient in the following:

• Site measuring, inventory, and analysis
• Vector-based design program (AutoCAD, Dynascape, or similar)
• Conceptual landscape design
• Grading and drainage design
• Landscape construction techniques
• Knowledge of common Wisconsin landscape plants
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Adobe Creative Suite
• Google SketchUp is a plus but not required
• Prior sales experience is highly valued. Candidates with a background in sales are encouraged to apply, as the ability to effectively communicate with clients and support sales efforts is integral to the role.
