Job Description:

 

Coming off a year of unparalleled customer and partnership growth, Greencrown is seeking a Director of Sales Operations to oversee and direct our daily company operations. As the Director of Sales Operations, you'll hold a pivotal position, supporting revenue growth, optimizing operational expansion, and advancing a high-performing culture within the organization. Reporting directly to the President, your responsibilities will include managing and overseeing daily operations, including leadership of the operations and sales teams, partner success, customer service, and strategic partnerships, all while upholding the highest standards of quality across our business.

Responsibilities:


  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with President to develop and implement objectives aligning with organizational goals. Lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, market penetration, scalability, and profitability.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a diverse team of professionals, including operations, partner success, support staff, and sales advisors, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. Manage company OKR (Objective and Key Result) program and performance metrics to track operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous optimization.
  • Risk Management: Oversee the mitigation of operational risks by managing and enhancing existing procedures. Uphold integrity in all aspects of decision-making and conduct, fostering a culture of professionalism, transparency, and accountability.
  • Product Management: Direct the team through the intersection of energy supply, energy conservation, and demand management. Oversee and support operations department with supplier product and project strategy while demonstrating deep understanding of the variables that influence energy management performance. Direct the Greencrown team towards the most beneficial solutions based on their risk profile, energy demand, energy conservation goals, and active energy management plans.
  • Regulatory and Market intelligence: Understanding of regional regulatory affairs, product components, tariff and load analysis, with the ability to effectively communicate market and regulatory updates in a timely manner to the team.
  • Licensing: Oversee and support operations team with licensing policies, procedures, and vendors, ensuring all markets are within compliance nationally.
  • Client Relationship Management: Collaborate with sales and customer success teams to oversee success in management of client needs, case resolution, and constant execution on customer service and management policies. Ensure customer service is championed through a customer-centric approach to operations, ensuring that processes are executed with the customer experience in mind. Support the team’s management of key accounts and key partnerships.
  • Vendor Management: Support the team’s strategic relationships with third-party vendors, mechanical contractors, association groups, affinity partners, subcontractors, and business partners to ensure alignment with organizational goals and quality standards.
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to streamline workflows and accelerate project timelines.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration across operations, support, energy conservation, and sales departments to facilitate seamless coordination of activities and alignment of goals. Work closely with other senior leaders and managers to address interdepartmental issues and optimize interdependencies.
  • Performance Management: Set performance targets, provide feedback, and implement recognition programs to promote high performance.
  • Training and Development: Oversight of new team members on-boarding, including management of orientation and training. Oversight of existing company training programs for both sales and operations functions.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Education:

o  Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.

  • Experience:

o  5+ years in energy industry, with 3+ years in leadership.

o  Strong track record in strategic planning and execution.

o  Proven experience leading high-performing teams in high growth settings.

  • Industry Knowledge:

o  Deep understanding of energy markets, regulatory affairs, and ISO/RTO operations.

o  Familiarity with demand-side management, energy conservation strategies, and energy industry trends.

  • Leadership Skills:

o  Exceptional leadership ability, focusing on mentorship, fostering innovation, and driving culture focused growth.

  • Communication Skills:

o  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders.

o  Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships internally and externally.

  • Analytical Abilities:

o  Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to drive informed decision-making.

  • Process Improvement:

o  Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on process optimization and automation.

o  Experience implementing technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Customer Focus:

o  Customer-centric mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and ensuring customer satisfaction.

o  Experience in client relationship management and resolving customer inquiries and concerns effectively.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration:

o  Ability to foster effective communication and collaboration across departments to facilitate seamless coordination and goal alignment.

  • Performance Management and Training:

o  Experience in setting performance targets, providing feedback, and coaching team members for development and success.

o  Proficiency in onboarding new team members and overseeing training programs for both sales and operations functions.
