Our client is a general construction, civil/infrastructure construction, real estate development, and property management firm building prestigious developments primarily in the Western New York region. Their construction expertise is in large earthwork, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, waterline, hardscape, and landscape projects. THE POSITION
Our client is looking for an experienced Civil and Sitework Estimator/Project Manager to join their team. The candidate must be able to successfully estimate construction projects, actively bid and manage projects. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Actively researching new commercial construction projects.
- Attending pre-bid and site investigation meetings.
- Reviewing and analyzing all construction documents (i.e., plans/specs/scopes) efficiently.
- Accurately soliciting timely material, equipment and subcontractor bid pricing.
- Negotiating, purchasing, and scheduling material and subcontractor buyouts.
- Creating and managing all construction documents and office processes including RFIs, transmittals, submittals, contracts, permitting, billings, and overall job status reports.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in in civil engineering, Architecture or Construction Management.
- At least 3 years of experience in construction estimating.
- Ability to read and analyze construction documents (i.e., drawings and specifications) and convey information into estimates and proposals.
- Effectively communicating with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors in connection with construction projects.
- Experience in utilizing MS Excel and industry specific estimating and accounting software.
- Experience with InSite, Plan Swift, B2W, Pro Core and ComputerEase is a plus.
