Position Overview:


We are seeking three dedicated Physical Therapists to join our team. This role involves a mix of outpatient and inpatient care with a rotational weekend schedule.


- **Option 1:** 3 days outpatient, 1 day inpatient with weekend rotation every 5th month.

- **Option 2:** 4 days outpatient with weekend rotation every 5th month.

- **Option 3:** Outpatient only, covering/supervising Pediatric Physical Therapy for about 25% of the caseload, and the rest outpatient adults.


This is a full-time position at the acute rehab unit.


Responsibilities:


- Under the general direction of a physician and based on physician referral, assess the functional needs of physically disabled patients.

- Develop treatment goals and implement appropriate treatment plans using various physical therapy procedures.

- Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.

- Acquire and demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles over the lifespan and provide care considering developmental status.


Primary Tasks:


- Initial Assessment: Based on the treatment diagnosis, functionally and qualitatively assess a baseline level of physical function for each referred patient. Evaluations should include pertinent medical history, cognitive function, sensory-perceptual-motor function, functional mobility, and pain control. This information will form the basis of treatment outcome goals.

- Goal Setting: Identify functional needs and establish measurable, realistic, and appropriate treatment outcome goals based on the initial patient assessment.

- Treatment Planning and Implementation: Plan and implement dynamic treatment programs designed to achieve or significantly progress toward the achievement of outcome goals. Ensure consistency and continuity in treatment to enhance the patient’s clinical response.


Work Conditions and Hours:


- Normal working hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday.

- Typical physical therapy clinic conditions.


Minimum Requirements:


- Graduation from a physical therapy curriculum approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy.

- Licensed to practice physical therapy in the State of Idaho.

- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

- A Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy is preferred.
