Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Probate Litigation Associate. The ideal Associate will have a minimum of 2 to 3 years of practical experience with complex probate litigation, focusing on estates, trusts, guardianships, conservatorships and elder abuse and a strong desire to litigate.


The preferred candidate will have had a strong academic record, excellent professional credentials, and the ability to manage an active docket with minimal oversight. AZ admission required. Proficiency in disclosures, discovery, motion practice, conducting depositions, experience making court appearances and trial preparation are necessary and expected. They must also be proactive and self-motivated, able to multi-task, and solutions oriented. Strong writing and proofreading skills and a desire to learn. The candidate will need to routinely work collectively with members of our legal team at all levels.


Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and legal research skills
  • Experience in drafting and arguing legal motions
  • Experience taking and defending depositions
  • Familiarity with court procedures and rules of evidence
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and member of the Arizona State Bar
  • Experience in probate litigation is preferred
