Job Summary


  • Operate MRI equipment and create scans according to physicians' directions.
  • Screen patients, explain procedures, and address concerns.
  • Prepare and administer contrast dyes.
  • Position patients and conduct MRI scans.
  • Maintain patient comfort and safety during scans.
  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance of MRI equipment and machines.
  • Write reports and escalate any problems to relevant stakeholders.
  • Carry out quality assurance procedures and implement improvements as needed.
  • Work closely with physicians to identify the best areas to scan and provide accurate images.
  • Collaborate with radiology technologists and other healthcare professionals.


Essential Functions


  • Collects data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health or the situation.
  • Analyze the assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues.
  • Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or the situation.
  • Develop a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes.
  • Implements the identified plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
  • Delegates elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers by any applicable legal or policy parameters or principles.
  • Evaluates progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes.
  • Practices in a manner congruent with cultural diversity and inclusion principles.
  • Communicates effectively in all areas of practice.
  • Collaborates with healthcare consumers and other key stakeholders in nursing practice.
