Fast growing Architectural Millwork & Casework company in Wendell is looking to add a “Creative” Designer to our team.


MillCase Crafted Interiors, formerly RLS Commercial Interiors, has specialized in Institutional, Commercial, and Retail casework for nearly four decades. Our construction specialties range from commercial office interiors, commercial kitchen and bathrooms, customer service centers, retail kiosks, cabinetry, specialized wall paneling, and more With our reputation of unparalleled customer satisfaction, expert craftmanship, and simply delivering what we promise on time, we continue to grow our partnerships with the area’s best general contractors, architects and design firms, office furniture dealers, and direct end-users.  


With the growth that MillCase is experiencing, we are truly looking for that “Creative” designer that can conceptualize and design our customers visions, paint the picture of those visions through excellent renderings, and in addition; develop and create a new series of furniture for our sister company Creative Business Interiors. Responsibilities:

At the core of this role is the ability to create exceptional designs by leveraging AutoCad, 2020, and other design platforms. The Designer will translate customer specifications and visions—derived from cabinet layouts, blueprints, interior design specifications, builder plans, and other customer submissions—into formal designs. The Designer shall use their knowledge, experience, and skills to meet the project’s functional and aesthetic goals.


  • Proficient in AutoCAD and 2020 design software, with the ability to adapt to other platforms as needed.
  • Play a key role in onboarding new customers by exercising patience and providing education in MillCase Interior’s design processes, product lines, and specifications, ensuring a smooth and informed transition.
  • Serve as a resource for new customers, ensuring they are well-educated on MillCase Interior’s design capabilities and workflows, fostering strong and lasting relationships.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in designing commercial cabinetry and workplace solutions while adhering to industry best practices.
  • Capable of providing design services for architects, contractors, and dealers, ensuring adherence to MillCase standards in design and construction. 
  • Demonstrate ability to produce high-quality and precise designs with superior attention to detail.
  • Leverage style and design expertise to support creative and aesthetically appealing design recommendations.
  • Stays actively informed and engaged with the latest consumer preferences and industry design trends.
  • Collaborates with sales associates and customers throughout the design process, facilitating reviews, revisions, and final approval.


Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints and shop drawings
  • AutoCAD experience (Required)
  • Architectural Millwork/Casework experience (Preferred)
  • Experience working as a designer in the office furniture industry (Preferred)
  • Experience with Mozaik and/or Vectric CNC software (Preferred but not necessary)
  • Excellent communication skills to convey technical information clearly and concisely
  • Proficiency in MS Office
