Maintenance/Electrician

Job Description:

Interkraft SC LLC is seeking a skilled manufacturing technician. This position will be utilized at our Whitestone and at our Simpsonville locations.

Provide mechanical / electrical support on manufacturing equipment to include troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, equipment modifications and upgrades. Technicians provide support for equipment that is operating on the production floor.

• Troubleshoots and solves a variety of mechanical problems. This includes replacement of parts such as bearing, pulleys, belts, chains, or sprockets.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic systems including pneumatic cylinders, directional valves, solenoid valves or speed adjusters.
• Strong understanding of circuit breakers, fuses, starters, motors (AC and DC) and control circuitry.
• Uses an electrical test meter to test voltage, amperage, continuity, or ohms.
• Troubleshoots electrical systems such as breakers, relays, timers, or solenoids.
• Troubleshoots electro-pneumatic, electro-hydraulic, and electro-mechanical systems.
• Interface in a team environment including engineering, quality, and production teams.
• Works directly with the Engineering Group to monitor and improve processes for output and waste levels.
• Ability to install new equipment or move existing equipment electrically and mechanically.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• PLC, hydraulic, pneumatic skills, and experience.
• Ladder logic programming
• Demonstrated ability to read equipment schematics.
• Demonstrated ability to identify defects and abnormalities and correct as necessary.
• Excellent attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures.
• Capable and experienced in working independently to a production schedule.
• Excellent teamwork skills which include demonstrating a positive attitude, good work ethic and sense of urgency in completing tasks/projects (driven).
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds regularly and 100 pounds occasionally

Education and Experience:

• Associate’s degree in Technical field or Vocational / Technical / US Military School preferred or applicable experience.
• Programmable logic controllers: 2 years (Preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: 8-hour shift

Pay: $40.00 - $44.00 per hour

Overtime hours are available on as needed basis
