PMO Director

IntePros is seeking an experienced PMO Director to join our client based in Huntingdon Valley, PA. This is a hybrid role requiring 3-days per week onsite. The ideal candidate has prior software agency background experience and a knack for managing many projects and developers simultaneously.
Responsibilities
● Effectively drive resolution of escalations with the appropriate customer and internal resources, partner cross-functionally with both internal and external business stakeholders to ensure deliverables are met
● Develops and implements related program and project standards, documentation, communication, training and adoption of all program/project management processes
● Oversees the management of technical projects
● Support the execution as the direct client-facing representative of Project Management to key clients and projects
● Directly manage a team of Technical Project Managers and define success criteria/metrics within the project management practice
● Hosts training and formalized lessons learned/post mortems to ensure all learns are applied to future programs/projects
● Create effective resource allocation/capacity planning processes to support growth
● Maintains PMO documentation in a formalized structure
● Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
● Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
● Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
● Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
● Perform risk management to minimize project risks
● Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
● Develop policies, procedures, and guidelines for the management of all aspects of IT projects and project administration
Support technical project managers to:
● Utilize project plans, status reports, proactive risk and change management, budgeting tools and scope management to ensure projects are delivered on time, with high quality and within budget and scope
● Formulate project goals, identifies key stakeholders, and manages relationships by establishing a clear stakeholder communication plan (project reports, summaries, and steering committees)
● Directly manage project activities through project plans and project management best practices
Requirements
● 8+ years experience leading a technical implementation team with project and program managers
● Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is preferred
● Ability to develop strategic initiatives and oversee the development of long-term plans and proposals to support business objectives
● Strong or expert level proficiency with Atlassian products (Jira & Confluence)
● Ability to multi-task and simultaneously manage major projects in multiple stages of delivery including developing and executing meeting timelines, connecting different stakeholders as needed and understanding the larger priorities
● Strong strategic thinking and planning skills
● High attention to detail
● Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities and assignments
● Excellent interpersonal skills and works well in a collaborative cross-functional environment
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Extensive experience with project management, project management tools, concepts and methodologies
● Strong interpersonal, project and program management, writing, communication, and problem-solving skills
