Responsibilities:

· Possess good communication skills to answer any questions that actual or potential clients may have;

· Collect information from a client by asking informative questions that will be beneficial for the client's claim;

· Prepare and revise legal documents, structure discovery, pleadings, and other legal paperwork;

· Oversee the medical records procedure: Request, Review, Index, and Summarize;

· Monitor the progress of each claim and obtain updated information by communicating with the client's health care providers, adjuster, and worker's compensation agencies;

· File legal documents electronically;

· Handle multiple projects and clients simultaneously;

· Assist with various administrative tasks as needed.


Requirements:

· High school diploma is required; Associate/bachelor's degree or paralegal certification preferred

· Ability to translate in Spanish for client intake, mediations, etc.

· 1- 4 years of experience in a legal support role (preference for 3+ years as a paralegal or legal assistant)

· Employer is willing to train in worker's compensation laws and procedures, depending on level of legal experience

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

· Must be a team-player, capable to adapt, self-reliant, well-organized, patient, and have a desire for growth

Work Model:

· Hybrid work (some remote work approx. 20%) possible depending on experience with a Monday to Friday, 8-hour flexible work schedule; full time 40 hours per week; Travel not required

· Salary commensurate with experience
