About the job:

The Dentist provides professional dental services and education to patients, and other health service workers.


What you'll be doing:

  • Provides and manages direct patient care, including examinations, evaluations, assessments, referrals, diagnoses and treatments
  • Prescribes pharmaceuticals and other medications and / or treatment regimens as appropriate
  • Records organized, legible entries in electronic patient health records system, according to QAI Standards and standards of care
  • Provides clinical supervision and teamwork services
  • Directs and coordinates the patient care activities of applicable dental staff as needed
  • Performs patient triage and initiates patients care as appropriate for walk-ins
  • Provides necessary information for clinical and insurance credentialing purposes
  • Serves as Dental consultant for outside referrals
  • Presents in-services programs in areas of dental care to staff to increase awareness of specific problems, diagnosis, and treatment
  • Provides support as dental clinical director in his/her absence


What you'll need to be successful:

  • Doctorate degree in Dental Surgery or Dental Medicine required
  • Two (2) years of directly related dental office experience preferred
  • Current WI Licensure without restrictions, DEA registration, and CPR certification required.
  • Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids, the ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients in correct usage, and knowledge of institutional regulations and guidelines for the provision of dental outpatient services
  • Ability to observe, assesses, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress
  • Ability to supervise and train employees, foster a cooperative work environment, and maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
  • Strong customer service orientation and the ability to treat patients with dignity and respect
  • Must possess proof of applicable health department testing and vaccinations or testing/vaccination will be provided by FCP Employee Health
  • Proficiency with the latest technology and software, including Microsoft Suite - Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Must successfully pass all applicable background checks and drug screens
  • FCP complies with all CMS Mandates & all Health Division employees must receive the COVID-19 vaccine prior to hire. Additional immunization requirements may also be necessary.
