Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit accurate cost estimates for construction projects
  • Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information
  • Research and evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing
  • Monitor project budgets and adjust estimates as needed during project execution
  • Assist in risk assessment by identifying potential cost overruns and proposing mitigation strategies

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the industrial construction industry
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and estimating methods
  • Proficient in estimating software and tools
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Experience in cement, industrial construction, and concrete estimating is a plus
