Primary Objectives and Responsibilities

 

On-Site Building Supervision

Wind River’s modular homes are built to exacting standards and are inspected throughout the building process by third-party inspectors. Once built and finished, the homes are ready for on-site installation. Wind River is not always responsible for setting the units but the scope of Wind River’s onsite work requires supervision for installation, additional fastening and trimming, connecting MEP systems, and any on-site building of decks, porches, and other amenities. This is a primary responsibility of the Field Operations Manager and the duties include:

●    Coordinate with the customer's general contractor and engineer to ensure readiness of site for installation, including, but not limited to foundations, modular home fasteners, roads, utilities access, and other prep work completed by our development partners, subcontractors, or Wind River.

●    On-site supervision and coordination of subcontractors and/or Wind River on-site teams for modular building installation, fastening, and assembly.

●    On-site supervision and coordination of subcontractors and/or Wind River on-site teams for modular building connection to utilities.

●    On-site supervision and coordination of subcontractors and/or Wind River on-site teams for building decks, porches, or other add-on structures that fall within the scope of work on a given contract.

●    Management and supervision of all material purchases, rentals, and other expenses related to on-site construction related to Wind River building installations and sitework.

●    Management of all travel related to any on-site work, including Wind River on-site team travel, lodging, meal coordination, expense tracking and reporting.

●    Coordination of and involvement in communications between Wind River leadership teams, development partners, and customers.

 

 

Warranty Repair Work

The Field Operations Manager will be responsible for evaluating, estimating, and completing any on-site repair work that falls within the scope of Wind River’s limited workmanship warranty.

●    Evaluation of warranty repairs under the limited warranty. Quoting warranty repair cost internally. Sourcing repair work materials. Supervision of dispatching of warranty repair teams.

●    On-site supervision when on-site work is required. Documentation and coordination of subcontractors and/or Wind River on-site teams for repair work covered under warranty.

●    Coordination of and involvement in communications between Wind River leadership teams, development partners, and customers as it relates to warranty repair work.

 

Modular Home Transport and Logistics

Modular homes require coordination between the development team and Wind River. The Field Operations Manager will assist in the logistical coordination of modular unit deliveries.

●    Oversee the preparation of customer sites, including verification of foundation integrity and coordination of utility connections with subcontractors. Ensure safe and efficient delivery of modular units to the construction site.

●    Work collaboratively with the installation crew to assemble modular units according to installation guides and building codes. Conduct thorough inspections throughout the process to identify and address any issues.

●    Maintain open communication with customers, addressing questions and concerns promptly. Ensure the final product meets our high standards and exceeds customer expectations.

 

 

Requirements

State of Tennessee contractor license

At least 10 years experience in homebuilding and/or land development contracting.

Associates Degree or better in a building trade, construction management or related field.

Experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, or similar software.
